Highly skilled fiduciary and Five Star Advisor

Carl is a Paladin Five Star Advisor, one of fewer than 500 financial advisors in the world recognized with this distinction, and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ (AIF®). He is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA®), the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), and the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council. In addition, he is a founder and director of the ConVal Community Scholarship Foundation in Peterborough, NH.

Carl loves his work as a fiduciary. He is skilled at using his expertise in complex tax, investment and estate planning concepts to create clear, prosperous and coordinated strategies with clients, which give them a great sense of empowerment, support and, in many cases, relief.

A respected commitment to service

He began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy following his graduation in 1992 from the University of Illinois, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and completed the NROTC program. His first assignment was aboard the USS BRISCOE, where he earned his designation as a surface warfare officer.

He was next assigned to ROTC instructor duty at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, where he taught marine navigation and leadership/ethical management. While there, he earned his MBA and graduated summa cum laude with a degree concentration in finance.

Decorated naval officer and financial educator

Following completion of his MBA, Carl served as a combat systems officer aboard the USS CLARK and also as a financial educator and counselor to military families in the Financial Education Department of the Navy Family Service Center. In 2000, he resigned his active commission and was sworn in as an officer with the Navy Reserves. That same year, he received his professional certification as a CFP® practitioner.

Currently the rank of Commander, Carl has received a number of awards, including the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

Carl lives with his wife, Diana, and their children, Abigail and Elijah, in Greenfield, NH, where they love the outdoors and rural life.
