Three veterans of the physician staffing industry founded VISTA in 1990--Mark S. Brouse, president; Katie Hoffman-Abby, executive vice president; and Clarke Shaw, senior vice president. The company was acquired by On Assignment in January 2007, and operates as the physician staffing division for this large, diversified staffing company. VISTA Staffing Solutions is a founding member of the National Organization of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO), an organization that develops and enforces standards for credentialing, ethics, and business practices within the locum tenens industry. Katie Hoffman-Abby is past president of this organization and Clarke Shaw sits on the board of directors.
