Our education which will assist you to make better-informed decisions. The information is not a specific recommendation to buy or sell any individual funds. The resources provide you two key components:

1.  Mutual Fund Analyzer – a better way to analyze how your mutual funds/IRA performed with the traditional buy and hold model in comparison to each other, in comparison to the market, and in comparison to our SPX Market Signal since 2005

2.  SPX Market Signal Newsletter – utilizes technical analysis in order to identify and take advantage of market trends. The analysis utilizes a 50-day moving average of the S&P 500 combined with a proprietary volatility indicator. When the indicator hits certain thresholds it gives a potential bullish or bear signal

The Mutual Fund Analyzer doesn’t give buy or sell recommendations on any particular mutual fund or the market in general, but rather helps our subscribers become educated decision makers regarding their own funds and fund choices. It allows you:

  1. To compare how the 20,000+ mutual funds may have performed vs. the performance of the S&P 500, each other, and vs. the SPX Market Signal
  2. To track how they may have performed using a Buy & Hold strategy vs. Protect & Grow strategy.
  3. To recognize that buying and holding is gambling, and that outright perfect timing of the market (which is impossible) is also unnecessary. Rather, we attempt to balance the two by trying to capture a majority of the upward trends while avoiding a majority of the downward trends.
  4. To assess the stability of each fund based on its performance.
  5. To save you hours of time on research.

The SPX Market Signal Newsletter, which was launched in 2005 has an incredible track record, highlighted by the the signal turned bearish 2 days prior to the flash crash in 2010, in 2009 the signal captured the majority of that years gain and in 2008 the signal actually captured a small yet positive gain for the year while most others incurred a 40% drop in their 401k values. When the indicator rises above the 50-day simple moving average and the S&P closes above the 50-day simple moving average and higher than it opened, this gives a potential bullish signal. The Newsletter uses diagnostic trading analytics which looks at how other people perceive the market and then uses that information to make decisions. It also takes into consideration seasonal, fundamental, technical and statistical information.

The Market Signal is based upon S&P 500 index (SPX) which tracks the common stock prices of the 500 U.S.-based companies which comprise the Standard & Poor’s 500. Historically, the S&P 500 has outperformed 73% of all mutual funds which is why it is considered the bellwether for the American economy and is used as the benchmark for most mutual funds, exchange traded funds and other funds (e.g., pension funds).
